Trained as a merchant navy officer at the Conway [listed Sept
1940-July 1942]
Note Conway was towed from her mooring in the Mersey on
21-22 May 1941 to a mooring off Bangor Pier in the Menai Straits (since
bombing at Liverpool was intense). The cadets rejoined her a week later and
their term was extendeed to August so that they lost no school time.
Mainly served on tankers (Shell) and became Captain.
Lived in Rhiwbina (Heol y Coed)
Keen golfer, latterly president of Whitchurch Golf Club.
