About

I am an English for Academic Purposes (EAP) tutor based at the University of Liverpool’s English Language Centre. My work involves teaching discipline-specific academic language and skills to students across various departments, including those in the MA TESOL and Applied Linguistics, MSc in Sports Business and Management, and Chemistry PhD programmes. I also serve as Module Coordinator for the English for Academic Purposes module, a course designed for international exchange students, and I developed and currently teach the Speaking at University course offered through the Library’s KnowHow service.

Beyond teaching, I am actively involved in scholarship within English for Academic Purposes and language pedagogy. As Convenor of the BALEAP Special Interest Group EAP for Social Justice, I engage with the field on broader issues of equity and inclusion. My research interests include language ideologies, anti-racist pedagogy, and critical EAP. I am committed to fostering inclusive, reflective practices that empower students within academic spaces.
