Novel Semiconductors for Renewable Energy and Other Applications
Discovery of new earth abundant sustainable semiconductors for thin film photovoltaics, highly mismatched antimonide-based alloys for mid- and far-infrared applications, including thermophotovoltaics, and optimization of transparent conducting oxides.
Characterization of semiconductors via structural, optical, electrical and photoemission techniques, accompanied by modelling and the use of (external collaborator-calculated) density functional theory.
