About
I Studied Chemistry and undertook my PhD on the physical properties of mitochondrial membranes under intercalating chemotherapy at the Free University of Brussels (ULB). Subsequently I worked at New York University (NYU) on trypanosome respiration before joining the HIV-1 Amsterdam Cohort studies virology team to study HIV-1 correlates of transmission, co-receptor switch and pathogenesis under the umbrella of the Ethiopia Netherlands Research Program (ENARP) and the Amsterdam Cohort Studies (ACS). I joined IIGH to continue working on viral correlates of transmission and pathogenesis and the influence of co-pathogens.
