Teaching
Through my various leadership roles (Dean of School; Director of CEDS; Institute CPD Lead; and Programme Director), I have been involved in teaching design and innovation in relation to new modules and programmes, covering MSc, UG level; credit bearing, non -credit bearing and using a traditional or CPD modular framework. My programme development methodology incorporates a ‘seed to fruition’ approach from market scanning, establishment of a robust business case, collaborative development with key stakeholders, development of evidence based academic materials and alignment with the University’s ambition, to expand its postgraduate portfolio. As Dean of the School of Health Sciences, I facilitated the marked increase in the school's undergraduate and postgraduate portfolio from thirteen to twenty three programmes, to meet healthcare workforce need.
I have considerable experience and expertise in translating theoretical information into ‘user friendly’ learning materials for professional groups, and I have sought to disseminate my findings nationally and internationally through publication and conference presentations.
