I am a Veterinary surgeon who has just made the move from general practice into research. I have undertaken two degrees at the University of Liverpool, graduating from biochemistry in 2003 and then Veterinary Science in 2007. After seven years in Small Animal Practice I decided a change of scenery was required so decided to come back to my roots in biochemistry. I am currently funded by Wellcome Trust Research Taster Fellowship and working on a project that aims to image equine tendons using mass spectrometry.
