Research
My research concerns hybrid spintronic systems. The vision is to advance new materials, architectures, and mechanisms in the quest to control, measure and exploit the spin of electrons and further quasi particles. These new tools are not exploited in conventional semiconductors, which leaves open the possibility of a completely new generation of electronics with never-before-seen capabilities. A lot of my work has been carried out using high-resolution x-rays at the UK and international synchrotron radiation stations. The synchrotron-radiation based core-level spectroscopy enables unambiguous decomposition of complex magnetic systems at atomic scale and ultrafast limit. It is particularly effective in probing the otherwise inaccessible and buried interfaces in hybrid semiconductors.
