Sue joined University of Liverpool Management School from Warwick Business School. She launched the Centre for Sports Business, which she directed then co-directed 2016-2025.
Sue completed her MBA and PhD at Warwick Business School, teaching and researching in the areas of marketing strategy, international marketing and sports marketing. At University of Liverpool Management School, she teaches sports marketing and sport operations. She directs Executive Education at ULMS with a specialism in sport. Clients include League Managers Association; Josoor Institute, Qatar; Professional Cricketers Association and clubs, leagues and governing bodies around the world.
In addition to her academic role, Sue is a member of UEFA's Research Grants and Awards panel. She has a long-standing association with the League Managers Association for whom she has directed their Diploma course for Football Managers for over twenty years. She is an Ambassador for Women in Football (2023 to date) and was a Board Director (2016-2023).
