External engagements:
* I serve on the Advisory Working Group for Access to Medicines, European Public Health Association (2023 – current)
* I am currently an external examiner at Newcastle University, UK. Previously I have worked as external examiner at Salford University, Portsmouth University and Durham University.
* I was reviewer for funding applications for British Council’s Researcher Links Funds & Newton Funds Programme between 2013 – 2018.
* I have worked as external PhD examiner for ERASMUS MUNDUS Joint Doctorate programme (Have externally examined PhD candidate at University of Bologna) & International Islamic University, Islamabad (2024)
* I have provided consultation report to the American Bar Association in relation to a free speech case in Singapore 2019-2020
* I have served on the Legal Affairs Committee of the Welsh Centre for Intl. Affairs, Cardiff between 2011- 2016
* I was on the Editorial board of Common Law World Review (2013-2016)
* I have working experience outside of academia and outside of UK – having worked briefly as a lawyer, a journalist and in the legal department of a multinational consumer electronics firm. I have also served on the board of governor at Cotham School, a secondary school with academy status at Bristol, England
Internal engagements:
Liverpool: Apart from my current role as Associate Head of Department and member of the University of Liverpool's Central Research Ethics Committee since 2017, I have previously served on other roles at University of Liverpool. I chaired the Sub-committee for the AHRC North-West Consortium Doctoral Training Partnership & also chaired the Sub-committee for ESRC North-West Social Science Doctoral Training Partnership between 2019-2020. I was the Internationalization Coordinator and served on the Funded Visiting Fellowship Panel between 2016-2018. I was also the Co-Director of Liverpool Economic Governance Unit (2017-2018)
Bristol: Apart from serving on the University's Senate (2015 – 2018), I was the Deputy Director of the Law School Erasmus Study Programme (2015-2016); and was Coordinator of the Law School’s External Research Visitors (2013 – 2014)
Aberystwyth: Apart from serving on the University's Senate (2009 – 2012), the University's Unfair Practice Panel and serving as Examiner for the PGCTHE portfolios for the 2012 batch candidates; at the Departmental level, I was Director of Postgraduate Studies (2011-2012); Chair of the Departmental Unfair Practice Panel (2008 – 2012); Chair for Student Special Circumstances Panel (2008 – 2009, 2010 – 2011).
