About
I completed my PhD in cardiac electrophysiology at the University of Leicester then moved to study vascular electrophysiology and calcium homeostasis at the Universities of Leicester and Strathclyde for my first and second Post-Doctoral positions. I moved to the Department of Cardiovascular Sciences at Leicester in 2008 with a Research Fellowship and became a Lecturer in Cardiovascular Cell Physiology in 2015. I am currently a member of the Department of Cardiovascular and Metabolic Medicine in addition to being a member of the Liverpool Centre for Cardiovascular Science (LCCS), in the Institute of Life Course and Medical Sciences at the University of Liverpool, and continue to research in cardiac and vascular electrophysiology, metabolic modulation of CVS function and cardioprotection/cardiotoxicity.
