Research
As a creative practitioner, Lee has a particular interest in the relationship between structural timbre and expression in cross-arts disciplinary contexts. His current research focuses on a conceptual model for (musical) creativity that draws on aspects of analogical reasoning, quantum science and psychoacoustics; this model involves applications to poetic narratives for music and musical collaboration. Lee is also interested in the role of small adjustments in the body and how these may affect aspects of music performance technique, structural timbre and narrative. This interest drives his passionate advocation of qi-relevant principles to aspects of music pedagogy.
