Initial background in HIV Pharmacology and bioanalytical methodology.
Pharmacometrican with extensive experience of population PK modelling of rich and sparse concentration-time data in various populations including HIV-infected adults and children and HIV patients from diverse ethnic backgrounds incorporating demographic and genetic polymorphisms. Additionally, experience of linking concentration data from different physiological compartments such as plasma and intracellular and plasma and CSF and the description of interactions between drugs such as boosting of HIV protease inhibitors. Models developed are often applied to investigate alternative dosing strategies with the ultimate goal of optimising therapy in patients.
Recent work has extended into other disease areas including TB and other respiratory diseases.
Written or contributed to over 30 publications and participated in numerous international conferences through poster and oral presentations.
