About
My research to date has been focused on policing and criminal justice and in particular public perceptions of both of these, and the relationship between criminal justice agencies (especially the Police), criminological knowledge production and democratic values. I have experience of applying both quantitative and qualitative methods to the study of crime, justice and policing.
Before coming to work at the University of Liverpool, I was a Project Officer for a Local Criminal Justice Board, working on a range of applied research-related projects in a multi-agency setting. Prior to this I worked as a Knowledge Transfer Partnership Associate at Newcastle University, completing a three year programme of ESRC-funded research focussed on public confidence in the criminal justice system.
I welcome enquiries from potential PhD students who share my research interests.
