Professor Holmes has supervised over 13 PhD through to completion and is currently supervisor or co-supervisor to a further 7. Through-out her career Prof Holmes has maintained a strong interest in post-graduate education for healthcare professionals. As a result she developed and ran the first, and only an MSc programme for antimicrobial Pharmacists More recently she and her team working in collaboration with the University of Dundee have been involved in the delivery of a Massive Open Online Course on Antimicrobial Stewardship and a module on Tackling Antimicrobial Resistance: A Social Science Approach. She has been driving the support for early career researchers and ensuring multidisciplinary research environments for them as a core priority within research groups she leads.
