About
I am a parasitologist specialising in the origin and evolution of parasite genomes. I obtained a D.Phil. degree from the University of Oxford (July 2004) and subsequently, spent six years at the Wellcome Trust Sanger Institute as a postdoctoral prize fellow. In 2012, I joined the University of Liverpool and, since then, I have used comparative analysis of molecular systems data to understand the evolutionary origins of parasites, while pursuing novel approaches to resolving human and animal parasitic diseases.
