Dean's Update | December

Published on

Christmas. The season when we try to do lots of other stuff on top of our normal study and work and can end up feeling less than festive! Everyone has their own way of recharging their batteries. This is mine - in her Halloween costume!

When you need to rebalance, check out the new University wellbeing resources or the board games in the Cedar House Hub.

Perhaps we should focus less on the festive fuss and more on the ‘goodwill’ that is at the heart of this season. Small acts of kindness have the power to enhance our own wellbeing as well as that of others. (This is a great read: What are the benefits of altruism?)

Wherever you are this Christmas, I hope you will carry the friendly spirit that Liverpool is famous for and take a few minutes to be kind, not least of all to yourself.

Wishing you all a well-deserved break after all your hard work this year and looking forward to what you will achieve in 2020!
