Summary

His parents were (probably) Joshua Griffith (butcher) who married Martha Parry, all living in the Moylgrove/St Dogmaels area.

He had started as a carpenter, then butcher and then became a tenant farmer in the Moylegrove area (West of St. Dogmaels)

A plaque commemorates 67 years of service by John as a Sunday school teacher. This religious focus was imparted to his children: four of them became vicars in the Church in Wales (John, Martin, Parry, David) and another (Tom) had a son (John Dewi) who became a vicar.
