Xue Zhang is currently a Senior Lecturer in Geomechanics at the University of Liverpool. He completed his PhD in Geotechnical Engineering at the University of Newcastle (AU) in October 2014. Subsequently, Dr. Zhang assumed the role of Research Associate at the Australia Research Council Centre for Geotechnical Science and Engineering (CGSE) within the University of Newcastle (AU). Following this position, he embarked on a Marie Sklodowska-Curie individual fellowship at the International Centre for Numerical Methods in Engineering (CIMNE) based at the Polytechnic University of Catalonia (ES). In 2018, Dr. Zhang joined the University of Liverpool as a Lecturer and was promoted to the position of Senior Lecturer in 2022.
