I first came to the Institute of Irish Studies in 1999 to study for my BA in Irish Studies, which I completed with First Class Honours, before researching 'Germany and the Irish Question, circa 1910-1918' for my MPhil. While a student I started working for the Institute, gradually taking on more responsibilities and duties. In 2012 I was appointed to the post of Personal Assistant to the Director of the Institute of Irish Studies.
