About
Dr. Vineet Dubey is currently a Postdoctoral Research Associate in the Antimicrobial Pharmacology and Therapeutics Group at the University of Liverpool. His research focuses on investigating the antimicrobial pharmacodynamics of essential medicine list drugs, particularly targeting gram-negative pathogens. Vineet is actively involved in the UKRI-funded Strength in Places and Wellcome Trust projects, where he explores innovative therapeutic strategies to address pressing issues in antimicrobial resistance.
Prior to joining the University of Liverpool, Vineet completed his PhD as a Department of Biotechnology-India Fellow at the Indian Institute of Technology Roorkee, India. His doctoral research centred on developing combination strategies to combat persistence and resistance in Acinetobacter baumannii, a notorious multi-drug resistant pathogen. During his doctoral studies, he actively contributed to and successfully completed DBT-India, Indo-Norway, and SERB-funded projects, advancing his research on combating antimicrobial resistance.
Vineet holds a Bachelor of Technology degree in Biotechnology, bringing a strong foundation in both basic and applied sciences to his current research work. Dr. Vineet Dubey's research is driven by his motivation to unravel the intricate mechanistic pathways of antimicrobial resistance in Gram-negative pathogens, with the goal of developing innovative therapeutic strategies to combat these evolving threats. His work focuses on understanding how these bacteria evade treatment, contributing to the global fight against drug-resistant infections.
