About
I have over 27 years experience teaching nursing in higher education at the University of Liverpool. Initially I was seconded part time to the nursing team to teach clinical skills and simulation and in 2007 became a lecture. My area of practice and working career before this was in Accident and Emergency nursing where I was a Team Leader and then became a Nurse Educator.
Since joining the University I have been involved with designing and delivering a wide range of modules at both undergraduate and postgraduate level across the nursing programmes. This includes clinical and simulation based education which I have delivered to a diverse range of health professionals. In 2013/14 I received a University Learning and Teaching Award for my work with simulated learning.
I have also been involved with student support and experience. This has included supporting students with diverse needs and disabilities.
I am currently joint Professional Lead for Nursing.
