Equality, Diversity, Inclusivity Lead for the Institute of Life Course and Medical Sciences, as well as the School of Medicine EDIW lead and a member of the Institute Athena Swan SAT.

Health and Life Sciences Faculty Lead for People, Cuture and Environment (REF).

University of Liverpool Medical School representative at the Medical Schools' Council Education Leads Advisory Group and the Medical Schools Council Equality, Diversity and Inclusion Alliance.

I am currently the external examiner for:
Professionalism and Public Health elements of the MBChB degree at the University of Lancaster, Years 1 - 3.
PG Cert in Gender Identity, University of London on behalf of RCP.

Previous work:

My academic approach to EDI resulted in being invited to contribute to the HPAC International Advanced Assessment Masterclass, where in 2023 I contribute both plenary and workshops on EDI in assessment in health professions education across the 2 day course.

I contributed for many years to the FAIMER (Foundation for Advancement of International Medical Education and Research Distance Learning) programmes in Accreditation and Assessment, hosted by the University of Keele, UK, supervising Masters Dissertations on this programme

I have previously been external examiner for:
PG Cert in Health Professions Education, University of Sheffield

From 2016 - 2023 I represented the University of Liverpool at the Academic Council for the International Medical University (IMU) in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, a long-standing partnership between the University of Liverpool and numerous other international Medical Schools who receive IMU students onto their MBChB programmes.
