Professional Activities

Expert Reference Groups:-
• 2021: Expert Advisor to International Centre for Missing & Exploited Children and Royal Canadian Mounted Police on Risk Assessment in Missing Person investigations
• 2018 to present: Academic Expert for the National Missing Person Expert Reference Group. This group is made up of the various agencies involved in missing (e.g. Department of Education, Social Care and Local Authorities, NHS England, Missing People Charity, Children’s Society, College of Policing, Fostering Network). Attendees provide updates to the National Police Chiefs Council lead for missing persons ACC Catherine Hankinson, who chairs the meeting
• 2017-2020: One of three UK academics to sit on the Regional Organised Crime Unit (ROCU) uplift Expert Reference Group (ERG; 2017-2020).
• 2015: Sub-panel member for Home Office on Community-based Interventions for Indecent Image Offenders.
