Susan Buttress is Director of Postgraduate Education in the School of Medicine at the University of Liverpool. She is a physiotherapist by profession and has worked in a number of academic and healthcare roles where her key to success has been in the engagement of others and making collaborative partnerships work. She has worked extensively overseas and has engaged with business and healthcare organisations to create programmes of study that meet the needs of today’s leaders and practitioners. She has an MA in Healthcare Law, an MPhil in Accident and Emergency Soft Tissue Early Intervention from the University of Manchester, and is currently continuing her doctoral work in postgraduate international education and practice. Her passion is one which welcomes a diversity of professions and cultures to the enhancement of learning and personal development, supporting the UN sustainable development goals. She currently also co-directs the MSc Healthcare Leadership online programe with the Management School.
