Research Interest 1

Experimental High Energy Particle Physics.

ATLAS experiment at the LHC, CERN:
My main interest is in searching for Extra Dimensions by looking for exotic particles in high mass diphoton final states. I am also a member of the H1 experiment at DESY Hamburg with an interest in QCD, jets and hadronic final states.

Muon g-2 experiment at Fermilab:
This experiment will make the world's most precise measurement of the anomalous magnetic moment of the muon, a quantity that can be both measured and calculated from theory to extremely high precision (a few tens of parts per billion). The experiment should improve on previous measurements which showed a 3.5 sigma discrepancy between measurement and calculations based on the so-called Standard Model (SM) of particle physics. If confirmed by the new experiment it would be a strong indicator of new physics not contained in the standard model and provide guidance on how the model might be extended.
