Teaching
My pedagogical interests extend from my key research focus (cultural topography) and my belief that LSA, given its rich history, is exceedingly well placed to impart a globally relevant education for the 21st century. I lecture in history and theory of Architecture and teach architectural and urban design at both undergraduate and postgraduate levels. More recently I have taught design at MArch (RIBA Part 2, Year 5 Design Thesis), where I have been interested in the methods and approaches of intervening within historic contexts. I supervise doctoral and postdoctoral research with a focus on the Middle East, South Asia and North Africa.
