Silvia Cinque is Lecturer in Organisation and Management at the University of Liverpool Management School, where she has been appointed within the Work, Organisation and Management Group in August 2024.
She conducts research across the areas of organisation and management theory, business and society, and social theory. Her scholarly interests include identity and identity work, power and resistance, meaningful work and calling, gender inequalities, and the creative industries. Her studies have been published in top-tier management journals such as Human Relations (FT50), Management Learning, and Culture and Organization.
She has previously held posts at SDA Bocconi School of Management, where she was also the Coordinator of the DBA Program, and at Bocconi University where she was Fellow of the Department of Management and Technology. She is currently Fellow of the “Leadership, Organization and Digital Technologies” Area at SDA Bocconi School of Management
Silvia holds a BA in Political Sciences (Bologna University), an MA in Human Resources and Knowledge Management (Lancaster University), and a Ph.D. in Management (Nottingham University Business School). Before pursuing her Ph.D., she worked for several years as communication manager in the industry of architecture and design, and as actress.
