I have a particular interest in all things Victorian. My thesis 'Retrieving The Husbandless Woman: Single Woman in Victorian Fiction', gave me the opportunity to explore the writings of the mid-Victorian period, specifically those by and about, widows and spinsters. I have been teaching on the Continuing Education and Go Higher programmes at the University of Liverpool since 2008, covering a diverse range of modules, from Shakespeare to Margaret Atwood, as well as Victorian fiction and history.
