About
I am a biostatistician and Lecturer in Health Data Science. I have worked in the field of systematic reviews at the University of Liverpool since 2005.
I enjoy being involved in methods development and application of reviews.
Broadly, my research interests and experience include: all aspects of designing, carrying out, interpreting, reporting, and impact of systematic reviews and meta-analyses.
I have specialised in network meta-analysis, individual patient data meta-analysis, and diagnostic test accuracy meta-analysis. I am developing expertise regarding the impact of reviews.
I was a statistical editor for Cochrane Review Groups for many years and have contributed to many review teams as a co-author, peer reviewer, mentor, mentee, and statistical advisor.
I am driven to making research matter and am currently developing expertise regarding the impact of reviews and uptake of reviews into clinical guidelines, and the presentation of results in reviews to aid decision making.
I am open to collaboration regarding all aspects of systematic reviews, particularly, my specialisms; newer developments that may have vast future potential; and the development and promotion of software that make statistical methods more user-friendly for review authors.
I would be pleased to hear from potential PhD candidates who are interested in systematic reviews and meta-analyses.
