About

I am the Alumni Engagement Officer at the University of Liverpool Management School where I build and nurture strong relationships with our diverse undergraduate alumni network, both in the UK and across the globe. I encourage them to remain actively involved in the vibrant life of ULMS and support our strategic goals and vision. By creating immersive and engaging experiences, our alumni enhance their employability and career prospects and contribute to the lasting impact of ULMS. Alongside this role, I also act as a Brand Ambassador, collaborating with the university's marketing team to promote the 'Original Redbrick' brand.

Previously, I was a Communications and Marketing Assistant for the University’s Careers and Employability team, where I played a key role in enhancing student experiences and employability through innovative projects and coherent communications strategies. My earlier experience at Edge Hill University as a Student Recruitment Communications Coordinator involved producing engaging print and digital content to support student recruitment efforts.

I hold a Master's degree in English from Edge Hill University, where I focused on various literary themes including Victorian literature, gothic spaces and the portrayal of femininity in both historical and modern contexts. My dissertation explored the use of madness as a trope in nineteenth-century novels and contemporary popular culture to critique gender norms. I also completed a Bachelor's degree in English Literature from the University of Liverpool, where I studied a wide range of topics including Shakespeare, Romantic literature and British writing from the post-war period to the late 20th century.

I received the Outstanding Contribution Award in July 2024 from the University of Liverpool Management School for my contributions and support of the ULMS community, embodying the school's core values. I was also named the runner-up for the Unsung Hero Award, recognising my impact on colleagues and students. I was further awarded the Virginia Carter Smith Scholarship in April 2024 by CASE for demonstrating significant promise in educational advancement, and I was the runner-up for Edge Hill University's Internal Student Employee of the Year in April 2021.
