Richard Wilson is a Research Pharmacist currently undertaking a PhD in the development and integration of novel technologies and interventions to improve antimicrobial prescribing. He is part of the David Price Evans Group in Infectious Disease and Global Health at the University of Liverpool directed by Professor Alison Holmes. His PhD is supervised by Professors Alison Holmes and William Hope, and Dr Timothy Rawson.

Richard graduated with a MPharm from the University of Manchester in 2010 having completed his dissertation in the Centre for Applied Pharmacokinetic Research. After completing his clinical training at Imperial College Healthcare NHS Trust he went on to specialise in Critical Care Medicine and holds an MSc in Critical Care from Cardiff University. Richard continues to work clinically with the infection service as an antifungal stewardship pharmacist.
