Research

Together with the project leads at the University of Liverpool and Kent Police, I conducted research in the Fighting International Internet Pedophilia project, an European Project involving 3 universities and police forces across 8 countries, including presentation of results at Europol. The FIIP project was finalist in the 2015 Times Higher Education Awards. Between 2020 and 2023 I have been working on the review of the tools developed in this project in coordination with the National Crime Agency.https://www.liverpool.ac.uk/psychology-health-and-society/research/psychological-sciences/knowledge-exchange/kirat-and-fiip/https://www.kent.police.uk/about-us/information-about-us/fighting-international-internet-paedophilia/National Crime Agency commendations for two academics

I am currently leading research on decision-making under uncertainty and time pressure in police and A&E staff. In 2022 I became also part of the United Kingdom Early Detection Initiative (UK-EDI). This is a project participated by different universities with the aim of developing early detection protocols of pancreatic cancer.
