About
I am a graduate intern technician working to assist and provide technical support to the technical teams in both IIB and the School of Life Sciences. The 1-year internship is split between research labs in IIB and teaching labs in SoLS to enable me to work within different teams and departments, learning new skills and expanding my technical scientific knowledge.
I graduated from the University of Liverpool in 2019, obtaining an upper second class degree in Biological Sciences. Throughout my degree I enjoyed learning about a variety of topics and undertaking practical laboratory experience in different areas including microbiology, molecular biology, biochemistry and tropical medicine. I undertook a 12-week honours research project at the university in the Institute of Ageing and Chronic Disease, learning tissue culture techniques, for which I received a first-class mark.
