About
I graduated in Journalism with a Master’s in Communications Management at Pompeu Fabra University in Barcelona (UPF), doing a semester abroad at UCLA, Los Angeles. I also hold a Master’s Degree in Catalan and Spanish Language Teaching from Autonomous University of Barcelona (UAB). For my Master's dissertation, I researched about the benefits of collaborative writing through Google Drive for students as well as for teachers, who can observe the learning process of their students.
I am a Lecturer in Catalan Studies at University of Liverpool since September 2023. Before joining University of Liverpool, I was the Catalan language and culture instructor at the University of Sheffield during four years (2019 to 2023), where I also taught Spanish language.
I am particularly interested in how mass media, social media and cultural pieces can help students learn a foreign language. In my classes, I mix historical and cultural content (including literature, music and cinema) with linguistic knowledge for a better immersion in the Catalan language.
I am a Fellow of the Higher Education Academy (2024).
