Research
Nick is a research supervisor to multiple doctoral-level postgraduate students. His research interests are primarily focused on pulp biology and vital pulp therapies and he has collaborations with matrix biology, electrical engineering, and human-centered innovation. Nick is the undergraduate research lead and INSPIRE lead for Dentistry at the University. This role enables Nick to coordinate undergraduate research projects and support undergraduates through their projects from ideation and research design to data analysis and presentation. Nick has additional research interests in the integration of novel teaching strategies in Endodontics through the use of 3D printing and customisable training models.
In addition, Nick serves as the current Reading programme co-lead for the Institute of Life Course and Medical Sciences, which oversees the implementation and moderation of the Research Excellence Framework.
