Teaching
I am module coordinator for PSYC733: Biological Aspects of Psychology (PSYC733) of the Psychology conversion postgraduate course. I also teach 'Biological Psychology' with a focus on neuroscience to Undergraduates in levels 1 and 2, as well as 'Psychology of Pain' to UG students in final year. I have completed my Certificate of Professional studies in teaching (with distinction) and I am a Fellow of the Higher Education Academy. I am also the Year 2 lead for the Psychology UG course and a member of the Psychology Education Committee which both entail a range of academic, pastoral and strategic responsibilities for improving student experience and education quality. I am also proud to supervise a wonderful independent research group consisting of many excellent student researchers including 3 Full-time PhD Students, 1 Clinical trainee and multiple MRes/MSc students - we work in tandem with collaborators across academic and clinical institutions.
