About

I am an epidemiologist with a focus on vaccination uptake, mental health outcomes, and cancer screening in underserved populations. Currently, I am working on the ReCITE project, investigating these critical areas in the Liverpool region.

Previously, I was part of the Scottish Diabetes Research Network (SDRN), where I contributed to research on the effects of three new glucose-lowering drugs on patient outcomes. Between 2023 and 2024, I completed a Master’s in Public Health with a specialisation in epidemiology from the University of Glasgow, funded by the prestigious Chevening Scholarship.

Before transitioning to broader public health and epidemiology, I worked as a dental public health practitioner in Egypt, mainly focusing on addressing oral health inequalities for unprivileged refugee and elderly communities.

My overarching research interests lie in utilising "big data" and advanced epidemiological methods to inform public health interventions, improve healthcare accessibility, and promote equity in health outcomes.
