About

Dr James graduated from the University of Leicester in 1999 and completed his GP training in Portsmouth and Chester. He is a member of the London Royal College of General Practitioners and has been a GP partner at St Georges Medical Centre, Wirral since 2005.

He first become involved in undergrate medical education at Liverpool as a Community Clinical Teacher (CCT) in 2004 and has since been involved in championing and developing the primary care aspects of the undergraduate curriculum at a local, regional and national level. In 2018 he was appointmented as Supratheme Lead for the Patient in the Community Setting and is a member of the Senior Management Team. He holds a Postgraduate Certificate in Teaching and Learning in Higher Education and is a Fellow of the Higher Education Academy. Since 2012 he has been postgradaute GP trainier with Health Education North West.

In 2018 he gained a Diploma in Musculosketal Medicine and Rheumatology and in addition to his clinical responsibiles in primary care delivers intermediate musculosketal clinics in the region.
