Professional Activities

1. Technology Leadership and Vision: Lead the development and implementation of the technological vision and strategy for the Virtual Engineering Centre.

2. Research and Development (R&D): Overseeing R&D activities, ensure that new technologies and engineering solutions are developed, tested, and implemented efficiently.

3. Team Management and Collaboration: Lead and manage a team of engineers, developers, and IT professionals. Establish and maintain collaboration with other university departments, external partners, and stakeholders is also essential to align technological development with overall organisational goals.

4. Technology Infrastructure: Managing the technological infrastructure of the Virtual Engineering Centre. This includes overseeing the development and maintenance of virtual platforms, software tools, and hardware resources necessary for engineering projects.

5. Innovation and Problem-Solving: Solving complex technical challenges and fostering a culture of innovation within the team. This involves encouraging creative problem-solving and exploring new approaches to engineering challenges.

6. Budgeting and Resource Allocation: Responsible for the technological budget, allocate resources efficiently to various projects and initiatives. This includes making decisions on investments in technology, software, and equipment.

7. Quality Assurance and Compliance: Ensuring that all technological processes and outputs meet quality standards and comply with relevant regulations and industry standards is a key duty.

8. Stakeholder Communication: Communicating effectively with internal and external stakeholders, including presenting technological strategies and reporting on progress.

9. Training and Development: Training and developing staff, ensuring the team has the necessary skills and knowledge to use the latest engineering technologies effectively.
