Neuroophthalmology
I have a keen interest in neuroophthalmology and related neuroanatomy, neurology and the neuro-ophthalmological disorders that result from neurological diseases. I link my teaching directly to clinical practice and real clinical cases to ensure authentic teaching and assessment practices.
Clinical e-portfolios
I designed, developed, evaluated and refined a clincial e-portfolio for students on the Pre-registration Orthoptic programme and postgraduate advanced practice modules to enable students to actively engage on and reflect on their clinical learning journeys.
Clinical Education
I developed a clinical education strategy for the Pre-registration Orthoptic programme to failitate integration of a range of innovations and initiatives into the programme. The aim of the strategy is to raise standards of education and training through authentic and active learning in order to produce confident graduates who are independent, reflective practitioners
