Access to Justice
James is module leader for the module Access to Justice and welfare rights. As well as learning about these substantive areas of law, students are also prepared for and spend 6 weeks at placements in 3rd sector advice organisations. During the placements they advise clients in welfare benefits law, in particular in relation to Employment Support Allowance and Personal Independence Payment issues.
