UK Lead (with Dr Janet Strivens) on a project: “Enhancement of Learning and Teaching in Medical Education in the Punjab”. There are 50+ medical and dental colleges in the Punjab (pop >100m).
Over 2,500 medical teachers have enrolled/completed the programmes we designed with local staff. We have a PG certificate course - International Certificate in Medical Teaching. This has international accreditation from the Staff and Educational Developers Association, UK. Variations of ICMT have been run in China and UK. Plus a PG Dip - Diploma in Health Professionals Education, delivered in association with a local university.
This all started in 2010 as a collaboration between UoL, Higher Education Commission Pakistan, British Council and University of Health Sciences, Lahore. Now it continues as a self sustaining programme and is offered all over Pakistan.
Lead on the Design and delivery of a staff development programme for Administrators in African Universities Developing skills and knowledge to enable Administrators to better support L&T. Association of Commonwealth Universities, London, 2015-6; Ibadan, Nigeria, 2017-8
External examiner on PGCert courses in L&T in UK and internationally.
