Teaching
I teach Evolutionary Biology to years 1 through 4 of the Life Sciences Degree programmes.
I welcome BSc, MSc, MRes and PhD students to the lab to work on host-microbe symbiosis in insects.
Evolutionary biology
I teach evolution to year 1 (as part of Life103, Evolution and Biodiversity), year 2 (as part of Life 213, Evolutionary Biology).
Animal Behaviour
I teach the evolution of reproductive systems to year 3.
Research projects
I supervise a variety of research projects at level 3 and M level. Projects are always novel, and attempting to test a previously unexplored hypothesis. About one quarter of students who do projects with me see their project work published.
