About
Glenn is the Medieval Research Assistant for the The Human Remains: Digital Library of British Mortuary Science and Investigation. He draws upon his interdisciplinary training as a medievalist (BA University of Toronto; MSt and DPhil University of Oxford) to identify and analyse the project’s medieval corpus of texts. This work is currently considering hagiogrpahical accounts of exhumations, known also as 'translations'. In addition to his work for the Human Remains project, Glenn is editing a lexicon of poetic Old English for the Consolidated Library of Anglo-Saxon Poetry (Oxford) and researching the use of poetic terms in Old English and Anglo-Latin prose. Glenn's independent research focuses on medieval perspectives of masculinity, with particular attention on militant Christianity, drinking culture, and outlawry.
