About

Genever qualified from the Royal Veterinary College in 2012, and has worked in a variety of first opinion small animal practices in the UK, including the University Veterinary Practice in Liverpool, and as a feline shelter vet for the RSPCA/Royal Veterinary College where she taught final year veterinary students on rotations. She completed a PhD at the University of Liverpool investigating antimicrobial resistance and the public health impact of feeding raw meat diets to dogs, and commenced her current position as Lecturer in 2023, where she combines her interests in teaching and research.
Genever's clinical interests are small animal general practice, shelter medicine (feline especially), veterinary education and evidence based veterinary medicine. Her research interests are antimicrobial resistance with particular focus on companion animals, One Health and veterinary education.
