Research Interest 1

My research interests are in the molecular epidemiology of healthcare-associated infections, dysbiosis following antimicrobial therapy, age-related conditions and translational medicine. My research focuses on the identification and validation of predictive biomarkers for variable response in patients in terms of diagnosis, prognosis, susceptibility and efficacy. My main research goals are in understanding the complex interplay of enteric infections and comorbidities, using genomics, transcriptomics, proteomics and metabolomics tools with a view on translational measures to control diseases, improve patient's management and treatment efficacy.
