Research
I work on experimental Particle Physics and conduct my research with the Flavour Physics experiment LHCb. I work mainly on so-called hadronic decays.
I am involved in several community projects in the area of computing and software, namely the High Energy Physics Software Foundation (HSF), the UK SWIFT-HEP project on SoftWare and InFrastructure Technology for High Energy Physics, and the Scikit-HEP project.
LHCb experiment
I work on the Flavour Physics experiment LHCb at the international CERN laboratory and presently the project leader for "Data Processing & Analysis" (DPA). DPA is responsible for the offline data processing and for providing the 1000+ LHCb members with selected data in a format suitable for physics analysis aspects, tackling technological challenges due to the very large increase in data volume with respect to previous data-taking years.
