About
Having started teaching on adult literacy courses in Sheffield in 1990, I have taught English as a Foreign Language both in the UK and overseas (mostly with the British Council) spending time in Brazil, Czechia, Saudi Arabia, Russia and Jordan.
I also started teacher training in 1993 working with Primary School teachers at Mazaryk University in Brno and have since then worked on both CTEFLA and DTEFLA courses in the UK and overseas.
On returning to the UK in 2005, I worked for the British Council developing a series of teaching videos for their global network before working in the state Primary School system.
I started working for the University of Liverpool English Language Centre in 2012 teaching on the Pre-Sessional programme and have since then worked across all the teaching programmes offered by the centre.
I am a Leeds United season ticket holder and have been going to matches at Elland Road since 1976. I also like all kinds of music, enjoy going for walks with my 3 dogs, and speak Welsh.
