Claire Smith is the Head of Research Partnerships and Programmes for Civic Health Innovation Labs (CHIL), at the University of Liverpool. Claire leads the operational function to deliver the appropriate operational strategy, governance and financial management across CHIL programmes for an innovation-led and impactful research environment. Claire previously led the Operations function for the Connected Health Cities Coordinating Centre at, a government funded programme that used information and technology to improve health and social care services for patients across the North of England. Claire has 12+ years' experience in Research Management delivering high value, multi-organisational, team science research programmes in the health informatics domain. Claire has a background in life sciences with a PhD in Cell Biology.
