About

I joined the Doctorate in Clinical Psychology (DClinPsy) Programme Team at the University of Liverpool in July 2023.

I recently completed an NIHR Research for Patient Benefit (RfPB) grant investigating how to sustain and improve long-term outcomes for individuals with anxiety and depression following recovery through Step 2 NHS Talking Therapies. This project was a collaboration with the Universities of Manchester, Sheffield, and York.

Prior to this role, I held postdoctoral research positions at the University of Manchester and Greater Manchester Mental Health NHS Foundation Trust, where I contributed to two NIHR-funded programmes: EQUITy, which aimed to improve access to and the quality of psychological therapies delivered by telephone in NHS Talking Therapies services, and PATHWAY, which evaluated the effectiveness of metacognitive therapy for cardiac rehabilitation patients experiencing anxiety and/or depression.

Originally from Argentina, I moved to the UK in 2012 to undertake a PhD in Clinical Psychology at the University of Manchester, focusing on the role of pride in restrictive eating disorders.

I hold formal training in evidence-based psychological therapies including Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT) and Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT). In 2019, I became a qualified Level 1 Metacognitive Therapist (UK).
